A number of MBARA members attended the event and provided information about the amateur radio to the members of the public.
Members of the Monterey Bay Amateur Radio Association (MBARA) contributed to the event marking the City of Marina’s incorporation anniversary. The volunteer effort underscored the MBARA’s commitment to community service, a core tenet of the amateur radio hobby.
Community leaders were present in force to celebrate this important date.
Their involvement also served as a unique nod to Marina’s history. Founded partially on the former Fort Ord, the city has a long association with communications and technological readiness.
