Coming soon, a GMRS repeater deployed at the N6IJ superstation in Marina! Currently there is a test unit operating on a Vertex Standard VXR-7000 with a Decibel duplexer and bandpass filter on the RX side to increase sensitivity. It is an open system on 462.600 MHz with input/output DCS 174 which covers the majority of Marina and there is partial coverage of some surrounding cities. We have had check-ins from Castroville, Watsonville, Aptos, and Pacific Grove!
When the permanent location is finalized, we will be upgrading the feedline (lower loss), antenna (higher gain), and antenna placement (significantly higher elevation). The permanent location will also be powered by a robust battery/solar solution, making the system operate completely independently from utility power and therefore available for emergency use.

Access requests are not required, but are helpful for tracking users and will allow us to notify you if we change the frequency or tone(s).
