Our solar-and-wind-powered GMRS (General Mobile Radio Service) repeater (**WRAC660**) provides free public access to licensed users, ensuring reliable communication for emergencies, events, and daily life in Marina.

To Get Started  
1. Get Licensed: [FCC GMRS License](easy-to-follow instructions below)– $35 for 10 years (no test, covers family, including children). 
2. Program Your Radio: Use CH 17 / Repeater 3 (DCS tone 174N). 
3. Join the Network: Questions? Please email us or attend our local meetups, first Saturday of each month at the N6IJ radio station at 599 DX Drive in Marina.

How to Get Your GMRS License (Easy 5-Minute Process)  
1. Visit the FCC Website: 
   → Go to the FCC Universal Licensing System (ULS) 
   → Click **”Register”** (first-time users) or **”Login”** (if you already have an FCC FRN). 

2. Get an FRN (Free Registration Number): 
   → Required before applying. Fill out the FCC FRN Registration 

3. Submit GMRS Application: 
   → Log into ULS, select **”New Application”** > **”ZA – GMRS”** (no test required). 
   → Pay the $35 fee (credit/debit card accepted—valid for **10 years**). 

4. Receive Your Call Sign: 
   → Typically issued within 24 hours (check email or ULS). 

5. Program Your Radio: 
   → Use WRAC660 (Marina’s repeater) on 462.600 MHz (Ch. 17).
