Monterey Bay Amateur Radio Association Board Meeting

March 13, 2006

The meeting was called to order at 7:05 P.M. by President Kim Cohan, KB6TLB, at the N6IJ building. Present were: President Kim, Vice President Tom Tengdin, WB9VXY, and board members Eric Swartz, WA6HHQ, Treasurer, Brian Broggie. W6FVI, Membership Secretary Barry Pfeil, K3KOA, ,and Howard Stephenson, K6IA. Also present were members Chris, KG6DOZ, Larry, KE6PPE, John KG6ZAN, Rob K6KKN

Reports:

Reading and approval of last two BOD meetings minutes

Purchase of Bank CD in progress by Kim and Brian

Election of New Officers:

President Eric Swartz

Vice President Tom Tengdin

Secretary Howard Stephenson

Treasurer Kim Cohan

Kim thanked the membership and BOD , passes the meeting over to Eric.

Reports continued:

Treasurer Report:

4977.00 in the bank + 635.00 from new membership

Bills out standing 86.00

Kim to contact City and ask about getting the water bill minimum down.

Kim volunteered to be point man with any City of Marina issues.

Tech Committee

80 meter delta by Scott WA6LIE in progress, should be finished by end of March.

Need project Leader for New tri band beam project.

Membership

50 paid for 2006 27 expired in 2005 15 expired in 2004

Expired membership to be removed from door access by end of March

Removal from e-mail list at the end of June

Looking for New Membership Secretary for 2007–2008

Old Business:

Howard and Tom working on web site voting, still in the idea phase.

New Business:

New tenant at the cell tower. Kim to work with them on locating our feed line to the LPA

Wi-Fi security discussed

Generator off limits and replacement is being talked about.
